Wild Narrative

Multidisciplinary art that challenges the narratives that shape our lives and perspectives.

Manifesto

  • Accessible Art : Art made as accessible as possible as long as it does not subtract from it’s integrity and when sustainably possible*
  • Art for Art’s Sake: Art as an expression, not a product for profit or fame
  • Responsible Creation: Responsible creation, as narratives hold power.
  • Sustainable Good: Ethical and eco-friendly when sustainably possible1
  • Share Freely: No one should have to pay for what is easily shared. We commit to being a source of free SCOBY and everything else we can share easily.

Footnote

  1. Giving art out for free or not keeping up with the competition if we aren’t receiving funding that allows us to do so is not sustainable. We also use technology to create art; there is an inevitable cost on the environment, as well as ethical considerations when using technology. The question is, does the visibility and existence of the art outweigh its cost? If we don’t fight for the spotlight on the same terms as our competitors, who are willing to do what it takes to win, then we won’t stand a chance to change the narrative, and the rules are created around it. Hence, we choose the route of the social entrepreneur in which we abide by the current capitalist system, but instead of using it for personal gain, we choose to put the profits to good use. ↩︎
